Little Snoodies was inspired by my first pet, Oreo, our Chief Bark Officer – a Boston Terrier with big-dog energy but very little tolerance for NYC's cold winters. Oreo needed warmth for his daily walks, and while a coat helped, I noticed that many jackets left gaps, especially on windy days. His little body would shiver, and eventually, he didn’t want to go outside at all.

That’s when my mother, a talented knitter, stepped in. She created a tiny snood to bridge the gap in his jacket and block the wind. The results were amazing—Oreo’s tolerance for the cold improved, and he began to enjoy his walks again. Seeing how effective the snood was, she knitted a few more variations. Now, as soon as the temperature drops, Oreo happily wears his snoods as a staple part of his wardrobe.

The more Oreo wore his snoods around the city, the more people started asking where we got them. Inspired by the interest, grandma shifted into full knitting mode, creating enough snoods to share with others. Each snood is meticulously handmade with love and care, and because they’re crafted by one person, each piece is truly special and limited in quantity.
